Splitting a Transaction into Multiple Transactions
The Account Allocations (ACA) allows you to split a single transaction into several new transactions, providing the total of these split transactions equals the original transaction value. The split transactions can include a mixture of debit and credit transactions.
option inYou might use this option if you need to re-analyze the original transaction across several different analysis codes, or if an original invoice is now being paid in several different instalments.

split transactions automatically.
There are two different versions of the multipart split function available:

- SINGLE which is used in a single currency environment to split the original transaction into several transactions in the same currency
- MULTI which is used in a multi-currency environment to split the original transaction into several different transactions using the same currencies as the original transaction.
Therefore, when you select the Find Form List.
action, you may be asked to select the appropriate form from theThe MULTI version of the Split form includes more fields. The form is divided into three sections:
- the totals section at the top displays the original transaction value and maintains a running total in the Outstanding field of the split transactions as you enter them. The split cannot be complete until the outstanding value is zero.
- the middle section is where you enter the value for each new split transaction, one at a time.
- the bottom section lists the split transactions you have defined.
Selecting the
Option:- Identify the transaction to be split in the allocation transaction list.
- Select .
- If the Find Form List appears, select either SINGLE or MULTI depending on your currency environment.
- Either the single currency or multi-currency versions on the Manual Ledger Allocation Multipart Split form is displayed.
