Cancelling a Journal

You can only cancel, or remove, unposted journals.

If you wish to cancel a posted journal you should enter another journal to reverse out the original and set the allocation marker on all of the journal transactions to Correction.

If you want to remove a journal that you have entered, but not posted, in Ledger Entry (LEN), select Action > Cancel Journal. You are asked to confirm that you do want to cancel the journal. You can elect to place the journal on hold.

If the unposted journal you want to remove has already been placed on hold, you can use the Clear Journal action on Ledger Entry Held Journals (LEH).
