The code that identifies the asset you want to analyze. The asset is defined using Asset Records (FAS).
- Asset Subcode

The asset subcode used to uniquely identify the posting presets, analysis code combination, for the asset.
- Description
- Factor

The proportion of the total asset depreciation to be apportioned to this subcode. The depreciation is calculated in Depreciation Calculation (FDC) and is split across all of the subcodes for the asset, using this factor. It is recorded against the analysis codes identified.
If the factor is left blank, the factor is assumed to be zero and the depreciation is not analyzed to this subcode.

For each dimension, an analysis code can be entered. The analysis codes must have been defined for the appropriate dimension using Analysis Codes (ANC). If this asset/subcode combination is referenced on a transaction, the analysis codes entered here are assigned to the transaction.
To avoid any confusion or conflict we recommend that you do not use the following characters in analysis codes. If you are using Asset Posting Presets and any of these characters have been used in analysis codes, asset value transactions cannot be posted: * % ^ ( ) . [ ] _
