Linked Transaction Match Releasing Rules
In a Pay As Paid processing environment, an Agency/Broker Account Type is set on each account using Chart of Accounts (COA).
When a transaction is matched that contains an intra-transaction link, the following rules are applied to determine whether or not the withheld status should be removed from these linked transactions. These rules are determined by the Agency/Broker Account Type on both the original matched transaction and the linked transactions.
Agency/Broker Account Type on Matched Transaction | Releasing rules applied to transactions with the same intra-transaction link |
Client | Release all withheld linked transactions. |
Carrier | If linked transactions exist for the client, only release these withheld client transactions. Otherwise, release all other withheld linked transactions. |
Other | If linked transactions exist for BOTH the client and carrier, do not release any transactions. If linked transactions exist for EITHER the client or carrier (but not both), release any linked withheld client or carrier postings as appropriate. If linked transactions do not exist for either the client or carrier, release any linked withheld transactions. |
Nominal | Do no release any linked transactions. |
