What are True Rated Transactions?
True rated transactions are those where the exchange rate between currency values 2 and 4 is fixed.
True rated transactions only need to be identified if you are using Financials as a Broker Ledger in a Pay As Paid processing environment where the system needs to be able to distinguish between cash and non-cash transactions.
True rated transactions are identified by a true rated flag set on the transaction. This flag is set automatically by the system when a transaction is posted with a Posting Journal Type of Cash. The Posting Journal Type flag is set for each journal type to either Cash Posting or Non-Cash Posting. .
The true rated flag is also set by the matching processes when a cash posting is matched against other transactions on a client account. The exchange rate from the cash posting is set on the other transactions.
True rated transactions are ignored by Ledger Revaluation if the revaluation source is Value 2 and the target is Value 4, and the Revalue until True Rated option is set in Ledger Setup (LES).
Special considerations also apply in Payment Run (PYR), where true rated transactions are accumulated separately if payment is made by the fourth currency.
