Selecting the Row Basis
A row basis is required for Row, Continuation and Statistic row types. It is the primary selection criteria used to select transactions for the row.
For Financial Analysis and Financial Statement reports, the row basis is always Account Code. Whereas, for a Financial Table report you select the basis you require.
For example, you might choose account code, or an analysis dimension.
Note: If you choose Account code as the basis for a row within a Row Content Code (set of
rows), you must use this as the basis for all of the rows in the set. You can, however,
mix any of the other basis types within a single set of rows.
You can specify any one of the following categories as a basis for transaction selection on a financial table report row:
- Account Analysis Dimensions (1 to 10)
- Ledger Transaction Analysis Dimensions (1 to 10)
- Account Code
- Currency Code
- Asset Code (Fixed Asset Register)
- Asset Analysis Dimensions (Fixed Asset Register)
- Transaction Reference
- Asset Marker (Fixed Asset Register).
If the Report Corrections field in Ledger Setup (LES) is set, then correction transactions are included in the transactions selected.
