What are the Financial Table Column Types?
A Financial Table report can include a number of columns of data across the report. Each column is defined using Financial Table Columns (FTC).
You can define columns for calculation purposes only. The columns are defined in the order in which they are calculated. The order the columns are printed on the report is determined by the Print Position.
You can define the following types of columns for a Financial Table report:
- Data columns which show amounts from a range of account or analysis codes.
- Continuation columns which identify further codes or ranges of codes to be incorporated into the previous Data column. These columns are not normally printed.
Note: Continuation lines do not operate for
spread figures, i.e. if the Column Data field is
set to Period Spread, Period Spread Forecast
(actual for year-to-date and budget for the rest of the year), or Reset
Spread.
- Mathematics columns are calculated from two previous columns and can be used for total columns. Complicated calculations may require interim mathematics columns.
- Heading columns are used to define columns containing descriptive rather than numeric data. They are used in association with the Column Basis types of Row Code and Row Description.
