Specify this information:
- Type
-
The type of allocation to be performed. Two types are available:
- Charge - selects the transactions specified in the allocation source and creates the target transactions required without affecting the source account.
- Split - automatically reverses the source transactions as well as generating the target transaction postings.
- Source

The source of the allocation as defined using Corporate Allocation Sources (CAS). This determines the allocation source amount by identifying the source accounts and transactions. You can leave this blank if the Type is Charge and the Ratio Basis in Allocation Ratios (CAR) is Fixed Amount.
Click Allocation Source to view or amend the allocation sources available.
- Target
-
The target for the allocation postings as defined using Corporate Allocation Targets (CAT). This determines the target and offset accounts to be updated as a result of the allocation. You can leave this blank if the Type is Split and the allocated amounts are to be posted to the source accounts, as specified in Corporate Allocation Sources (CAS).
Click Allocation Target to view or amend the allocation targets available.
- Ratio
-
The allocation ratio to be used with this allocation. Allocation ratios are defined using Corporate Allocation Ratios (CAR). If this is blank, 100% of the source amount is allocated to the target during an allocation run.
Click Allocation Ratio to view or amend the allocation ratios available.
