Defining Ledger Sequence Codes

You use Ledger Sequences (LEQ) to define sequence number codes. A sequence number code can be assigned to a type of journal transaction and then, when a journal transaction of this type is posted, a transaction sequence number is assigned to the transaction. This enables you to produce sequenced listings of transactions and groups of transactions, such as the IVA reports required by Italian tax authorities.

The sequence number that is assigned to a transaction is maintained in the analysis dimension identified as the Transactions Dimension in Ledger Setup (LES).
