Creating a business rule

  1. Use Event Profile (EVP) to create a profile for the SunSystems business object to be published. For example, create an event profile that triggers a business rule if an address record is amended, deleted or inserted in SunSystems.
  2. In the event profile, specify the function code, call point and action code.
  3. Use Rules Sets (RST) to specify a rule associated with the event profiles created in step 1.
  4. In the rule set, select Publish as the rule set command.
    Note: If you are unable to select Publish as the rule set command, check that a either a publisher or subscriber business unit has been configured.
  5. In the rule set, select the relevant SunSystems EDM BOD to be published.
