Configuring system logging for SSC
Specify system logging properties for SSC:
- Open Configuration Manager (CGM).
- Select System Logging > SSC.

Configure the machine settings:
- Scope
- Select the servers for which the machine settings are relevant. To apply machine settings to all servers, select DEFAULT. To apply machine settings to a specific server, select the server name. The default value is DEFAULT.
- Log file location
- Specify the location of the Connect Server log. The default value is %(SunSystems\install.AppDataLocation)%\Logs\SSC

Configure the system settings:
- Connect Server logging level
- Specify how much information is written to
the Connect Server log. This table shows the logging options and the
type of information included with each option:
Table 1. Options for the Connect Server log Option Description ALL All messages are included. INFO Only informational messages are included. DEBUG All messages are included. Extra information, required for debugging, is also included. WARN Warning and error messages are included. ERROR Only error messages are included. FATAL Only fatal error messages are included. NONE No information is included. The default value is INFO.
- Enable general logging
- Select On to generate detailed log information for applications with no explicit settings. The default value is On.
- General logging level
- Specify how much information is written to
the General log. This table shows the logging options and the type
of information included with each option:

Extra information, required for debugging, is also included. WARN Warning and error messages are included. ERROR Only error messages are included. FATAL Only fatal error messages are included. - Generate log for Audit Viewer
- Select On to generate a detailed log for Audit Viewer. The default value is Off.
- Generate log for Component Manager
- Select On to generate a detailed log for Component Manager. The default value is Off.
- Generate log for Connect Server
- Select On to generate a detailed log for Connect Server. The default value is On.
- Logging level of Audit Viewer
- Specify how much information is written to
the Audit Viewer log. This table shows the logging options and the
type of information included with each option:

- SSC Logging Style
- Select the SSC
Logging Style. This table shows the SSC Logging Style
options:
Table 5. Options for the SSC Logging Style Option Description Simple Logging is generated from properties in the simple subgroup. You must enable applications individually. Advanced Complex configuration using XML files is permitted. Disabled All logging is suppressed. The default value is Simple.
