Configuring the performance settings
Note: Clicking Default resets the property to the system
default value.
To configure settings that will maximize the performance of SSC:
- Open the Configuration Manager (CGM).
- Select SSC > Performance.
-
Configure the machine settings:
- Scope
- Select the servers for which machine settings are relevant. To apply the machine settings to all servers, select DEFAULT. To apply the machine settings to a specific server, select the server name. The default value is DEFAULT.
- DJI Concurrent Transactions Threshold
- Specify the number of transactions that can run through the DJI
driver concurrently. When this number is exceeded, any new requests
will be queued. The default value is 20.Note: A higher number will give greater throughput but will require more memory and processing power.
- Number of Concurrent Exports (ION)
- The number of exports through the ION Outbox that can run
concurrently. When this number is exceeded, any new requests will be
queued. The value must be an integer between 1 and 50. The default
value is 10.Note: A higher number will give greater throughput but will require more memory and processing power. It is important to note that the optimum number for throughput may be lower than 50, depending on your environment.
- This setting is linked to the Export drivers, so if this
value is increased then these settings should also be increased:
- Number of Concurrent Transactions (Export)
- Number of Active Connections (Max).
- Number of Concurrent Imports (ION)
- The number of imports from the ION Inbox that can run
concurrently. When this number is exceeded, any new requests will be
queued. The value must be an integer between 1 and 50. The default
value is 10.Note: A higher number will give greater throughput but will require more memory and processing power. It is important to note that the optimum number for throughput may be lower than 50, depending on your environment.
- This setting is linked to the SASI and DJI drivers, so if
this value is increased then these settings should also be
increased:
- DJI Concurrent Transactions Threshold
- Number of Concurrent Transactions (SASI)
- Number of Active Connections (Max).
- Number of Concurrent Transactions (Export)
- Specify the maximum number of export transactions that can run concurrently. After this number is exceeded, new export requests are queued. The default value is 20.
- Number of Concurrent Transactions (SASI)
- Specify the maximum number of transactions that can run through
the SASI driver concurrently. After this number is exceeded, new
requests are queued. The default value is 20.Note: A higher number will give greater throughput but will require more memory and processing power. We recommend setting the number no higher than 5 on medium specification servers.

Complete the System settings:
- Number of Active Connections (Max)
- Specify the maximum number of active connections that the pool can keep. After reaching this number, any connections returned to the pool will be closed and discarded. The default value is 50.
- Number of Active Connections to Keep
- Specify the maximum number of active connections to keep. This number is retained after the pool_connection_time has expired. The default value is 0.
- Record Buffer Size
- Specify the maximum number of records that can be held in the buffer. The default value is 100.
- SQL Batch Size (Ledger Import only)
- Specify the maximum number of records that be included in a SQL batch for Ledger Import. The default value is 100.
- Save your changes.
