Rule messages

Rule messages are used by a rule set to display information to the user.

They are used by the DISPLAY and ERROR action statements in the following ways:

An ERROR action displays the rule message and causes the current entry to be rejected.
A DISPLAY action displays the rule message and allows the current entry to continue processing.

The rule messages must be defined before you create the rule sets.
