Rule Data Presets Setup
This form is only accessible from Rule Data Sets (RDS).
-
Specify this information:
- Rule Data Set Code (Display only)
-
Displays the code for the selected rule data set key. This is the code of the Rule Data Set for which you are creating preset values.
- Status
- The status.
- Business Unit Code (Display only)
-
Displays the business unit that has been entered in Rule Data Sets. This field may be blank if the Rule Data Set has been designed to apply to all business units.
- Value 1-3 (Display only)
-
Displays the values for the key data items that have been entered in Rule Data Sets (RDS) for this record. Values 2 and 3 may be blank if the Rule Data Set Key has been designed with only one data item key.
- Preset Number
-
You can enter up to twenty preset values for each combination of values 1-3, so each preset must be individually numbered. Enter a preset number from 1-20 and click OK.
This number must be referenced on a SET action statement in the Rule Set to assign the preset value to the data item identified on the statement.
- Preset Value
-
Enter the preset value to be used when the corresponding Preset Number is referenced on a SET command in the Rule Set. You can enter a maximum of 50 characters.
Note: If you are presetting the value for a data item, you must ensure that the value is allowed to be entered on the transaction for the data item, for the appropriate function. For example, for the Ledger Entry function, if you want to preset a ledger analysis dimension code you must ensure that the code exists, and that the analysis dimension is allowed to be entered on the relevant journal type.
