Invoking forms from outside the application
Note: Form Load Caching is available in the
Windows client only.
You can provide direct access to forms and frequently used functions in SunSystems by creating a modified desktop shortcut, or by invoking the Windows command prompt.
Note: This feature is accessible via terminal services or Citrix
presentation server and requires the published application properties to be
amended accordingly.
Note: Previous versions of SunSystems allowed other parameters to be specified,
such as Business Unit, Budget Code, and Form Name. These can no longer be specified on
the command line or within a desktop shortcut, but can be added to a function by
creating a function extension within Security Console or User Manager. After creating
and extending the new function, it can be invoked from the command line or a desktop
shortcut. This change has been made as a security enhancement, so only permitted users
can create and extend functions.
