Profiles

A profile defines the type of data transfer: import only, export only, process, internal transfer (export followed by import) and external transfer (import followed by export).

Profiles also define:

  • the source and target data formats to be used in the transfer process, depending upon the transfer type specified.
  • any runtime options for the profile (which depend upon the source and target selected), and whether the options can be overridden at run time.
  • export filtering and summarization, if applicable.
  • any data transformation to be carried out during the transfer process.
Note: 
  • To create and modify profiles, click New Profiles or Edit Profiles in Transfer Profiles (TRP).
  • You must be either a SunSystems Connect Administrator or Designer to create or edit a profile.
