Setting import runtime parameters

When creating a profile, you must enter runtime parameters and specify whether they can be overridden at run-time. All parameters can be set to allow runtime override. Import runtime parameters can be specified when you create import profiles or internal transfer profiles.

  1. Select an import or internal transfer profile.
  2. Amend the runtime parameters by specifying this information:
    File basis
Click the File basis drop-down list to specify whether the file basis is client or server.
    File name
Click the browse button on the value field and navigate to the file required.
    File action
The source File action runtime option is exclusive to Imports. Click the File action field browse button to display the Source File Action dialog. From the drop-down box select the action to be performed once processing is complete. Available options are:
    • None (default)
    • Delete after processing
    • Rename after processing

If you choose to rename you must enter the new name in the subsequent field.

    • Move after processing

If you choose to move the source file you must enter the new location in the subsequent field or use the browse button to open the Browse for Folder dialog, where you can select a folder as the destination.

  3. Click Save Profile.
Click Discard Changes if you do not want to save the new profile.
  4. Click Yes to return to the Transfer Profiles dialog or click No to remain in the Transfer Profile Designer dialog.
