Creating and deploying reports

The general steps for creating and deploying reports are:

  1. Create a new report, or create one from a template.
  2. Set up the basic structure of the report.
  3. Select the data to be included on the report.
  4. Optionally, group and order the data. Add a report title, summary information such as totals, and page numbers to the report.
  5. Save the report.
  6. Define parameters for restricting the data to be reported.
  7. Deploy the report, review the basic structure and make amendments if required, then redeploy it.
