Sending Parameters and Receiving Parameters

For each integration workflow definition, you must map parameters to SunSystems transaction fields, both for sending from SunSystems and receiving from ION Workflow.

These parameters allow you to customize the fields that are included on transactions for approval or authorization, so that the person using ION Workflow can recognize or understand the transactions sufficiently to approve or authorize them. By including appropriate data to send to ION Workflow, you can facilitate a decision-making process within ION Workflow. For example, you may include Value as a Sending Parameter for Purchase Order Approval, and then define a workflow which routes Purchase Orders to different approvers based on the order value.

The names of all parameters must exactly match those defined for your nominated definition within ION Workflow.

There are also some mandatory fields that must be mapped.

Note: If you want the approving user Id to be sent as an output parameter from ION Workflow so that the ID is recorded in SunSystems as the approving/authorizing user, the ION user Id must correspond to an existing SunSystems user.
