Button Type Description
jcmbuttons3.png Center Horizontally and Vertically Use these buttons to center the selected controls horizontally and vertically within the container that they reside. Alternatively, from the Layout menu select Center in Window.
Note: You can select more than one control at a time by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking or by dragging your mouse pointer over a selection of controls.

  • Align left and right

    Use these buttons to align selected controls left and right in relation to each other based on a common edge. Alternatively, from the Layout menu select Align > Left, or Align > Right . The last control selected has blue handles instead of white. The blue handles mean that the control has priority and it is that control which the others are aligned against. Controls are left-aligned by default.

  • Align top and bottom

    Use these buttons to align selected controls to the top or bottom of their common edge. Alternatively, from the Layout menu select Align > Top , or Align > Bottom. The last control selected has blue handles instead of white. The blue handles mean that the control has priority and it is that control which the others are aligned against.

  • Align centrally

    Use these buttons to align selected controls centrally either horizontally or vertically. Alternatively, from the Layout menu select Align > Horizontally, or Align > Vertically. The last control selected has blue handles instead of white. The blue handles mean that the control has priority and it is the control which the others are aligned against.

8spaced.png Evenly Spaced Horizontally and Vertically Use these buttons to evenly space selected controls horizontally and vertically within the container they reside. Alternatively, from the Layout menu select Evenly Space > Horizontally, or Evenly Space > Vertically. Controls are spaced evenly between the first and last one selected.
Note:  Each control is treated as an individual item. Therefore, to evenly space controls with their corresponding labels, you must select the labels and evenly space them separately.

  • Make same width and height

    Use the Make Same Width and Make Same Height buttons to change the selected controls to the same width or height as the dominant control, for example the object with blue handles. Alternatively, from the Layout menu select Make Same Size > Width, or Make Same Size > Height.

  • Make same size

    Use the Make Same Size button to change the selected controls to the same size as the dominant control. Alternatively, from the Layout menu select Make Same Size > Both.
