Setting up Financial Tables Report

The Financial Tables report writer is one of three SunSystems Financials report writing facilities. You have more control over the information contained in the columns of the report than in Financial Analysis reports or Financial Statement reports. As well as making selections about what is contained in each line of the report, as per financial statements, you can also make more detailed selections for each column.

There are three stages in creating a financial tables report.

  1. The report columns are defined using Financial Table Columns (FTC).
  2. The report rows are defined using Financial Table Rows (FTR).
  3. The overall layout of the report is defined in Financial Tables Formats (FTF) and the report columns and report rows are referenced.

Financial Tables must report by account code. However, unlike Financial Analysis or Financial Statements, the account codes can be reported either in the rows or in the columns of the report.

Financial Table Formats (FTF) pulls together the rows and columns. As with financial statements, this method of design allows you to create a number of table rows and table columns, and to combine them to produce a variety of reports.
