Analysis

  1. Click the Analysis tab in the Journal Presets (JNP) dialog.
  2. Specify this information:
    Ledger Analysis 1-10

    Up to ten analysis codes can be entered on a journal line. These values can be preset for a particular line by selecting the appropriate code here. You must select a valid analysis code for the appropriate dimension.

    Enter '..' two dots to copy the entry from the previous journal line.

    Note: 
    • Entering a hyphen to preset blank data, for example, blank currency codes, takes precedence over static data hyphens, for example analysis codes. Therefore if you use a hyphen to indicate 'blank', journal presets will also set the analysis code of hyphen to blank.
    • You cannot preset a code for the transaction sequence or daybook sequence analysis dimensions which are used to maintain the sequence numbers assigned to transactions.
  3. Save your changes.
