The Data Description Editor process

The Data Description Editor (DDE) process consists of the following steps:
  1. Filter the data items.
  2. Modify or remove the item labels and descriptions.
    Note:  Item labels are pieces of meta-data for the data item, whereas item descriptions are the field names which are used on forms.
  3. When the changes are saved, the Data Dictionary is automatically regenerated, and the customizations will be available the next time the forms are opened and automatically recompiled.
