Creating a data access group to form a map

This function allows you to allocate a form, which you must have already designed using the Form Designer tool, to the results of your drill. That is, the results can be displayed in a format which you define.

The form description is mapped to a data access group, thus enabling you to associate a different form to operators of different data access groups. Data access groups (DAGs) are a group of operators with like access permissions to a set of data. DAGs are maintained in User Manager.

To define a form mapping:

  1. Ensure the relevant drill is open. In the Drill Edit dialog, two columns are displayed.
  2. In the Data Access Group column, click on the Click here to add an entry text. A list of data access groups are displayed in a drop-down list.
  3. Click on the required line.
  4. In the Form Description column, click on the Click here to complete entry text. A list of existing forms are displayed in a drop-down list.
  5. Click on the required line.
  6. When you have entered all required mappings, from the File menu select Save to save your drill.
