Configuring the common settings
           Note: Clicking Default button resets the property to the system default value.
          
          To configure the common settings for SSC:
- Open Configuration Manager (CGM).
 - Select SSC > Common.
 - Configure the machine settings:
           
- Scope
 - Select the servers for which the machine settings are relevant. To apply machine settings to all servers, select DEFAULT. To apply machine settings to a specific server, select the server name. The default value is DEFAULT.
 - Number of Intermediate Tables to Join Search
 - The number of intermediate, or temporary, tables used in a join query when searching for information. For example, 1 join means that all direct joins, and joins using 1 intermediate table, are used. The maximum value is 5. The default value is 5.
 - Transactions Table Refresh Interval (seconds)
 - The refresh rate, in seconds, for the transaction table. The default value is 0.
 - Workbench auto save changes
 - Select On to save changes in the workbench automatically. Select Off to prompt the user before saving changes. The default value is On.
 - Workbench prompt before delete
 - Select On to prompt the user before deleting a value in the workbench. Select Off to delete values automatically. The default is On.
 
 - Configure the system settings:
           
- Default hierarchy Name for Payload Definition
 - The default hierarchy name for the payload definition.
 - Reverse search join relationship
 - Select On to reverse the join relationships when running a search. The default value is Off.
 - SSTM default flat file encoding
 - The encoding for the SSTM default flat file. The default value is ISO-8859-1.
 
 - Save your changes.
