Using the Control Desk In-Tray

The Control Desks In-Tray lists the items that have been selected from the control desk for processing. It allows you to pass these items on to a selected process.

For example, if you have chosen ledger import files you can pass them onto the Ledger Import process, or if you have selected ledger transactions you might pass them onto Account Documents to print statements.

All of the items listed on the Control Desks In-Tray are transferred to the selected process, unless you deselect them.

The Action menu includes commands which allow you to:

  • deselect - which removes the highlighted item from the in-tray
  • deselect all - which removes all of the items from the in-tray and returns to the control desk.
Note:  The type of items that appear on the Control Desks In-Tray and the type of processes you can run depend on the filter and display form being used by the control desk.

See Selecting Items on a Control Desk.

  • Batch or Report Process

Select a process from the list available. This process is run for all of the selected items on the in-tray. The processes available are determined by the context in which you are using the control desk. For example, if you are using the control desk as part of the ledger import processing, the ledger import batch processes are presented.
