Security Overview
Security is the name for a group of SunSystems functions that provides a user interface for managing users, groups and security options for SunSystems.
Users (SEU)
Users are set up in Users to establish login identities across the SunSystems suite of products.
User Groups (SEG)
Groups are sets of users defined in Security to help manage access to appropriate SunSystems applications.
Function Extensions (FXN)
Use Function Extensions (FXN) to set up and maintain function extensions.
Sessions (SEC)
The Sessions (SEC) function is used by system administrators to monitor user activity. It can also be used to clear operators when they are locked out of SunSystems due to, for example, system failures.
Data Access Groups (DAG)
Data Access Groups are used to permit or restrict user group access to specific data records.
Security Audit Policy (SEP)
SunSystems provides an audit trail to record user activity in Security. Use Audit Policy to configure the contents of the audit.
Security Audit Export (SEA)
Audit data is viewed by exporting it to a log file.
Security Audit Archive (SER)
Use Archive to configure the contents of the audit.
