Asset Turnover Rate

View how efficiently a company uses its assets to generate revenue.

The Asset Turnover Rate widget is a financial efficiency metric that measures how well a company converts its assets into revenue. The widget shows a line chart in which the horizontal axis represents a time period or analytical dimension and the vertical axis represents the asset turnover rate. You can filter data based on these fields:

  • Period
  • Year
  • Ledger Analysis

Query logic

Asset Turnover Rate = Revenue / Average Total Assets

Average Total Assets = (Total Assets at beginning of period + Total Assets at end of period) / 2

The Asset Turnover Rate widget retrieves balances from SunSystems Cloud to calculate the ratio. Revenue balances are divided by the average total assets for the selected period. Account groupings are defined through the hierarchical relationship between Analysis Dimensions and Analysis Codes. For time-based views, the widget derives comparative trends against previous periods.
