Setting up the Lines of the Page

After you have set up the pages of the book you can define further details, or lines, of the page using Price Books Lines Setup. These lines hold the calculation information.

  1. From the Action menu within Book Pages Setup, select Lines.
  2. Specify this information:
    Book Definition Code and Analysis/Hierarchy Code
    These fields display the current Book Pages Setup record.
    Range From

    The starting point of a ranges of values for this line.

    Note: If the Multiples Only check box is checked in the Price Book Pages record, the Range From value cannot be zero as it is used to calculate the quantity of the promotional line associated with Promotional Price Books.
    To Range
    The end point of a ranges of values for this line.
    Calculation Type

    The type of calculation to be carried out. Options are:

    • Absolute value to be used instead of base value.
    • Amount by which the base value determined above is to be changed.
    • Ratio by which the base value determined above is to be changed.
    • Percentage by which the base value determined above is to be changed.
    Calculation Operator
    The operator to be used in the calculation. Options are: '+' plus or '-' minus.
    Value

    The value to be used in the calculation.

    For example, the Calculation Type may be set to Amount by which the value is to be changed, the Operator set to '+' plus and the Value set to 150.
