Recalling Provisional Transactions from within Ledger Entry

You can also use Ledger Entry (LEN) to recall a provisional journal.

Note: 
  • You must know the journal number to be able to recall the transactions from within Ledger Entry.
  • If provisional posting is optional, you can change the journal transactions from provisional to permanent postings at this stage, if required.

To recall a provisional journal from within Ledger Entry:

  1. Select one of the Ledger Entry forms.
  2. From the Action menu, choose Recall Provisional to display the Journal Processing dialog.
  3. Enter the journal number in the Provisional Journal Number field and click OK.

    The journal is recalled and the details of the first transaction appear on the Ledger Entry form.

  4. Change the journal transaction details in the normal way.
  5. Post the journal to save the changes. A message appears indicating that the journal has been re-posted.
