Speeding up ledger entry

SunSystems Financials includes a large number of facilities and options that speed up and control the entry of ledger transactions. These facilities include:

  • Journal types tailor the Ledger Entry forms to particular input requirements, for example to identify the analysis requirements or define a reversal journal.
  • Journal presets predefine the journal fields and journal lines for a journal providing either fixed field values or defaults. They allow you to:
  • Automatically balance a journal by posting a balancing amount to a selected account
  • Control the information on a journal line e.g. restricting the type of account that is entered
  • Automatically invoke the online allocation facility to allow transactions to be matched quickly and easily
  • Analysis dimensions and structures enable you to determine the types of additional analysis that is required, by transaction type and account.
  • Corporate allocations automate the process of reassigning expenses and other transactions.
