Setting up Sales Types (STS) - Inventory Allocation

    Allocation By Stage
    If you are serialized for the Inventory modules, this field specifies the sales stage by which allocation must be carried out.
    Manual Allocation

    If you are serialized for the Inventory module this field indicates if manual allocation applies. Options are:

    • No - allocation is carried out automatically. That is, manual allocation is not permitted.
    • Yes - allocation is carried out manually. The sales order cannot be released from this stage unless allocation has been carried out.
    • Not Defined
    Reservation Type

    This is used if you are serialized for the Inventory module and refers to the reservation of stock. Options are:

    • Manual - reservation of stock must be done manually if it is required.
    • Automatic - this prevents items being issued to other sales or movement orders, ensuring there is always enough inventory to fulfil this issue.
    • Not Used
