Transfer Desk functions
In addition to creating profiles and automations, there are four functions that are
accessible within Transfer Desk:
- Transformation Designer
- Define rules to transform data before it is transferred. For example, a rule may add two fields together and place the result in a new field. Use transformations to map file layouts, for example, from external data to SSML format. Transformations are attached to profiles.
- Format Designer
- Use to describe the format of external (non-SunSystems) files, to import external data into SunSystems. Format Designer can also be used to convert export data into formats understood by other applications.
- Lookup Designer
- Create lookup tables to define a list of transformed output values that are dependent on a range of source data. Lookup tables are used by transformations.
- Transfer Desk Configuration
- A configuration provides a backup of automations, profiles, formats, transformations, filters and lookup tables and provides other business units or users with the files and settings you have set up in Transfer Desk.
