Methods
This list describes the function of each method.
- Amend
- This method only amends existing data. If the data does not exist, an error message is produced and the payload is rejected.
- Bulk Create or Amend
- As for Create and Amend but recommended for large payloads.
- Closed
- This status is assigned to the matching static reference records, for example to every account, asset, customer and supplier. It determines the current processing status of the record. This status sets a record to a Closed status. A closed record cannot be used for input or processing. For example, you cannot post transactions to a closed account or analysis code.
- Create as Draft
- This status is assigned to the matching static reference records, for example to every account, asset, customer and supplier. It determines the current processing status of the record. This status is a preliminary state for a new static data record awaiting approval from an authorised user. Once approved, it is given the status of Open.
- Create or Amend
- This method creates data if it does not exist already and amends it if it does. Whereas the Bulk Create and Amend method depends on you to know whether the data does or does not exist in advance, this method can be used if you are unsure.
- Create Replace or Delete
- This method is used to synchronize business unit data. It creates data if it does not exist already, and replaces it if it does. If the data does not exist in the originating business unit, it is deleted.
- Delete
- Delete matching records.
- Hidden
- This status is assigned to the matching static reference records, for example to every account, asset, customer and supplier. It determines the current processing status of the record. A record with a hidden status does not appear on any inquiries but is available for input, processing and reporting.
- Open
- This status is assigned to the matching static reference records, for example to every account, asset, customer and supplier. It determines the current processing status of the record. This status is set automatically when you add a new record, for example, if you create a new account. Open items are available for input, inquiry, processing and reporting.
- Suspended Held
- This status is assigned to the matching static reference records, for example to every account, asset, customer and supplier. It determines the current processing status of the record. This status sets the record as a suspended record.
