Testing data formats

After you have validated your data formats you can test them against a data file.

  1. In Format Designer, click the Test tab.
  2. Browse and select a file to test the format. The file encoding must be valid for the format you are testing.
  3. Click TEST.

    If successful, the Test Results window is displayed showing the external file format data alongside the interim XML generated from the schema definition.
