Active sessions
SunSystems allows you to concurrently run multiple
active sessions.
Use the Sessions drop-down to view and switch between the sessions that are running.
To open a session in a new browser tab, click the
drop-down. Right-click a session and select or .The sessions are listed next to colour-coded bullet points:
- A green bullet point represents the session that is running in the currently displayed tab.
- A grey bullet point represents a session that is running in a different browser tab. To switch to that session, click the relevant tab.
- An amber coloured bullet point represents an active session that is not currently running in a browser tab. You can resume that session in the current tab, by clicking the session name. If you do this, the active session in the currently displayed tab is saved, and can be resumed later.
- A tilde '~' represents embedded applications such as Report Manager.
For core SunSystems functions, session restore is available. That is, if you close the web browser without closing down one or all of the open sessions, the next time you log in you are presented with a list of sessions to choose from and restore. Sessions that cannot be restored are shown on the drop-down list with a ~ tilde character.
Note: You can also
double-click on a session in the drop-down list in order to restore it.
