About Ledger Analysis Update

The Ledger Analysis Update DJI (Direct Java Interface) component is available from SunSystems version 5.1.5.

Within specific controls, the component allows you to maintain ledger analysis entries and the transaction description on existing ledger or budget transactions, via SunSystems Connect.

You can select a set of existing ledger or budget transactions and change the values of the analysis codes and the transaction description for those transactions. You can also enter data for the 25 General Description fields and 5 General Date fields, but you do not have specify analysis at the same time. The General Description fields are 30 characters long and have no validation.

Note: Any values set for General Description or General Date using LedgerAnalysisUpdate may be cleared if the transaction is subsequently amended in Account Allocations. Because of this limitation, it is recommended that any General Description or General Date amendment is performed using the Update method from the AccountAllocations component.
