Setting up Sales Order Entry - Header
- Open Sales Order Entry (SOE).

Specify this information in the Header section:
- Sales Type
- Sales Definition Code

The required Sales Type, also known as Sales Definition Code, for the order.
To view an existing order, leave this field blank, and select the order from selection list in the Sales Order Transaction Ref field below.
Note: You must be careful to select the sales type for the transaction you require. For example, do not enter a sales return type for entering a sales order. - Sales Order Transaction Ref
- The reference for the sales order. This must correspond with the settings in the sales type selected for the order.
- Customer Code
- The customer for the sales order.
- Customer Name
- The name of the customer for the sales order.
- Customer Reference
- The customer's reference for the sales order.
- Invoice Address Code
- The code for the address where the invoice is to be sent.
- Acknowledgement Address Code
- The code for the address where the acknowledgement is to be sent.
- Entry Date
- The date the sales order was entered. This is automatically entered by the system from the operator login date at the time of entry.
- Completion Date
- The date the sales order was completed. That is, when all lines on the order have completed the required stages in the sales process. This is automatically entered by the system from the login date.
- Whole Order Override
- For information only. If this check box is checked, it indicates that the user has overridden whole processing for this sales order.
- Comment
- Any additional comment relevant to the sales order.
- Save your changes.
