Embedding standard text on a contract header
To set up a standard text on a contract header follow these steps:
- Access SunSystems.
- Specify RCS in the search field and select Contract Setup (RCS).
- Specify Contract Code or select an existing one.
- From the Actions drop-down menu, select Embed Std Para.

On the Standard Text Language Variants form, specify this
information:
- Standard Text Class Code
- Select whether the unique code to identify the standard text class on a contract is EMAIL, INVENTORY,PURCHASES, SALES, or STD. To set up a standard text on email, select EMAIL. To set up a standard text on inventory, select INVENTORY. To set up a standard text on purchases, select PURCHASES. To set up a standard text on sales, select SALES. To set up a standard text on PKP database, select STD.
- Standard Text Code
- Select the standard text code to use for the selected standard text class code. Before you select a standard text code, you must select a standard text class code first.
- Language Code
- Select the language code to use for the selected standard text class code. The default language code is1 for English.
- Lookup Code
- The lookup code can be used to find a record, as an alternative to the record code. It is often set to a shortened version of the description. It is particularly useful if a record is often referred to using different codes. For example, the Chart of Accounts code for Fuel Expenses is 75201 and the Lookup Code is set to FUELEXP.
- Short Heading
- The short heading, which is used where space is limited. If this is blank it defaults to the first characters of the description.
- Status
- Standard text attached to a contract header.
- Description
- Up to 50 characters to describe the standard text. Either Description or Short Heading must be specified.
- Text
- Specify text to embed on a contract line. You can add up to five paragraphs of standard text using Paragraph 1-5 tabs.
- Click OK.
- Click Attach Text and then OK.
