Assigning Conversions to Standard Units

If you need to convert a Unit Label to the default within the Standard Unit you must assign conversions to it. The unit label must have previously been set up. Any unit labels not assigned are not converted when processing.

  1. From the Action menu within Standard Unit Conversions select Assign Conversions.
  2. Specify this information:
    Standard Unit Code and Default Inventory Code
    These fields are automatically populated from the current Standard Unit Setup record.
    Conversion ID
    The required conversion rule to be applied to the Unit Label.

    After the conversion ID has been selected, the following fields are automatically populated and show the details from the Unit Conversion record.

    Status
    The status.
    From Unit
    The unit from which the item is converting.
    To Unit
    The unit to which the item is converting.
    Conversion Factor
    The factor of conversion.
    Rounding Decimal Places
    The number of decimal places to which the item is rounded.
    Process Level
    The process level.
    Inverse Process Level
    The inverse process level.
  3. Save your changes.
