Setting up Batches
- Select Batch Reference Setup (BRS) from the SunSystems menu to access the Batch Reference Setup form.
 - 
            Specify this information:
		  
            
- Item Code
 - The code of the required item. This must have been set up as batch controlled on the Item Master. That is, the Batch Control check box must be checked.
 - Item Short Heading
 - This field is automatically populated once the Item Code field has been completed.
 - Batch Reference
 - The unique identifier for the batch.
 - Comment
 - Additional comments required for this record.
 - Batch Status

The current processing status of the batch. Options are:
- Open - set automatically when you add a new batch.
 - Held - when the batch is being held and cannot released.
 - Complete - when all processing of the batch has been completed.
 - Quarantine - when the batch has been isolated and cannot be released.
 
 - Recall Status
 - Indicates whether or not the batch is being recalled.
 - Expiration Date
 - Date of expiry for the batch.
 - Maturation Date
 - Date of maturity for the batch. For example, for fruit or vegetables.
 
 - You can obtain an expiration date history for the batch reference. From the Action menu select Expiration Date History. This displays the Expiration Date History form.

- Item Code
 - The item code.
 - Batch Reference
 - The batch reference.
 - Sequence Number
 - The sequence number.
 - Status
 - The status.
 - Date Created
 - The date created.
 
 - Save your changes.
