Movement Types

Movement Types allow you to define different types of movements used in your system.

For example, you can define how allocation is treated, when an account code must be entered, the stages a movement transaction must pass through, and the forms to be used at each stage. Movement types do not have either a supplier or customer associated with them.

Note: You must define movement types for your business unit before you can enter movement transactions.

Examples of different movement types are:

  • Movement order - an order raised by one warehouse on another.
  • Created by an inventory count.
