Producing a Financial Table Report

Financial Tables (FTB) is used to produce a Financial Tables report.

The report must first have been defined using Financial Table Formats (FTF), Financial Table Columns (FTC) and Financial Table Rows (FTR).

You can consolidate figures from more than one business unit. The business units to be consolidated are defined in Financial Table Columns (FTC).

Note:  Financial Table reports do not use the standard report parameter input forms, although a document format code is required and is defined in Financial Table Formats.
  1. Specify this information:
    Table Code
The code that identifies the financial table report you want to produce. This is defined in Financial Table Formats (FTF). The name of the report is displayed; this can be up to two lines and is also set in Financial Table Formats.
    Supplementary Report Name
A third, optional, title line for the report. This extra line then appears underneath lines 1 and 2 of the table name at the top of each page.
    Period From/To
The range of periods for the report. The default is the current period. To produce the report for a single period, leave the To field blank.
    Spread Start Period
If your table columns include a Period Spread or Reset Spread data choice, you must enter the period you want to use for the start of the spread. The default is the current period.
    Level Codes 1 and 2 From/To
The headings of the level codes defined on Financial Table Formats are displayed. The default is all occurrences of the codes. Otherwise, enter the code or range of codes to be printed.

The Level Codes are applied jointly so a transaction has to fall within both ranges of the specified Level Codes if it is to be shown on the report.

    Selection Codes From/To
Additional run time selection criteria for the report are displayed. This depends on the selection criteria defined in the financial tables format. For example, you may be prompted to enter a range of account codes, analysis codes and currency codes. This criteria determines the transactions that are retrieved for the report.

You can enter a single code, or a range or codes, for each selection dimension. Leave the fields blank to select all of the codes available for the dimension.

The selection criteria also depends on the columns chosen on the report, for example if quarterly columns are included Accounting Quarter fields appear.
