Performing an Account Balance Inquiry

The account balance inquiry displays summarized, consolidated account values. You can use the Explode control desk facility to break down a total. Different levels of detail may be available. For example, the inquiry might display an overall account total for a range of periods which can be exploded down into the totals for each accounting period. In addition, the total for a particular period can be exploded further into a total for each transaction date within the period.

  1. Select the Account Balance Inquiry (ABQ) option from SunSystems to display the Account Balance selection form.
  2. Enter the selection details. A transaction must meet all of the selection criteria to be included in the account balance calculations.
  3. Click OK to extract the account details.
  4. The account balance details appear on the Financials Inquiry window.
