Currency Period Rates (CNP) - Overriding the details specified in currency codes

The following settings can be used to override the details specified in Currency Codes (CNC), for this particular period rate. Leave these fields blank to use the Currency Codes definition.

  1. Specify this information:
    Description
    The currency name associated with this currency period rate.
    Lookup Code
    A lookup code can be used to find a record, as an alternative to the record code. It is often set to a shortened version of the description. It is particularly useful if a record is often referred to using different codes. For example, the Chart of Accounts code for Fuel Expenses is 75201 and the Lookup Code is set to FUELEXP.
    Short Heading
    The short heading, which is used where space is limited. If this is blank it defaults to the first characters of the description.
    Realized Gains Account
    This is the account code to which any realized gains calculated using this currency period rate is posted. The realized gain value is calculated and posted by a number of forms.
    Realized Net/Losses Account
    This is the account code to which any net realized amounts, or realized losses, calculated using this period rate is posted. These realized net or loss amounts are calculated and posted by a number of forms.
    Unrealized Gains Account
    This is the account code to which any unrealized gains calculated using this period currency rate is posted. These unrealized gains are calculated and posted by Ledger Revaluation (LER).
    Unrealized Net/Losses Account
    This is the account code to which any net unrealized amounts, or unrealized losses, calculated using this period currency rate is posted. These unrealized net or loss values are calculated and posted by Ledger Revaluation.
