Inserting lines and rectangles

You can insert lines and rectangles onto your report if you wish.

Lines and rectangles can be used to define sections or subsections of the report or can be used to group information.

From the Insert menu, select Rectangle or Line and drag your cursor across the report where you require the element to be displayed.

Items on the report are contained within a rectangle by moving them inside the rectangle. When an item is contained within a rectangle, then the Parent property of the report item displays the report item name of the rectangle. If you delete or move a rectangle, all contained items are also deleted or moved.

You can also hide the inserted element, or it can be toggled by another report item to change its visibility status. Right-click the image, rectangle, or line and select Properties from the drop-down menu. Amend the properties on the Visibility tab as required using the radio buttons and check box displayed. Click OK.
