Searching the Data Item List

Note: This search facility only searches for data items within the selected subset, that is, those data items currently displayed in the Data Item List.

To search the Data Item List:

Click the Search button on the Data Item toolbar or from the View menu select Data Items > Search Data Item List to display the Search Data Item List dialog.
Select the Search Items radio button.
Enter the text in the Search Text box as the search criteria.
Use the Find Data Items radio buttons to select whether to locate data items:
- Exactly Matching the Search Text
- Beginning with the Search Text
- Containing the Search Text.
If you want only data items that match the case of the specified Search Text, check the Match Case check box.
You can also see the descriptions and labels of all data items currently listed in the Data Items Description bar by clicking the Show All Items radio button. This allows you to see each data item in more detail and you can manually scroll through the list to find the data item you require.

Note: Within the data item search results list you can click on the column heading to reorder how the results are displayed.
