Finding Transactions in Reconciliation Manager

Reconciliation Manager includes a Find facility that enables you to search for transactions that contain a particular field value, in one of the Reconciliation Manager sections.

You choose the find field and enter the value to be found. The Reconciliation Manager sorts the transactions according to this field and positions the selection arrow on the first transaction that contains the value, or on the transaction that contains the closest match to the value. If no match can be found, transactions are sorted at the next highest transaction, and the following message is displayed: Unable to find exact match, re-positioning at start of transactions in requested order.

  1. Click on the transaction grid in the Reconciliation Manager window that contains the transactions you want to search.
  2. Select Action > Find to display the Data Dictionary Lookup dialog.
  3. Click on the data item you want to use to find the transactions and click OK. For example, to search for a particular reference, click Transaction Reference. The Reconciliations Find dialog appears and the chosen data item is identified alongside the Enter Value for prompt.
  4. Enter the search value in the Enter Value for field.
  5. Click OK to find the matching transactions. The Reconciliation Manager window reappears. The first transaction that matches the find value appears as the first line of the grid and is identified as the current transaction by the arrow to the left of the transaction.
