Maintaining the Ledger Setup

Use Ledger Setup (LES) to specify how a Financials ledger operates within a business unit.

For example, you can specify the accounting periods that are open for posting, whether the automatic payments facility is available, and determine any automatic sequence numbering requirements.

The Ledger Setup form

To open the Ledger Setup form, select LES from the SunSystems navigator menu.

The Ledger Setup form contains these tabs:

  • General
  • Transaction Rules
  • Sequence Dimensions
  • Options
  • Currency
  • 4th Currency
  • Supplementary Financials
  • Agency/Broker
  • Voucher Numbering
  • Journal Classes.
