Checking the Referential Integrity of a Business Unit

It is important to check the data integrity of a business unit, especially after any actions have been carried out, such as, if you have moved a business unit between business unit groups.

You can check the referential integrity of a business unit, or of all business units within a business unit group.

The database version is checked before proceeding. If the version is not correct, a message states the database must be at the correct database version before the checks can be run.

If the database version is correct a message confirms that the integrity of data for all business units within the selected business unit group has been checked.

To check the referential integrity of all business units belonging to a business unit group or a specific business unit:

  1. Select the business unit group or business unit in Business Unit Administration (BUA).
  2. Select Actions > Advanced > Check Referential Integrity
  3. Click OK to start the referential integrity check process.
The Business Unit Processing form is displayed and shows the referential integrity check being processed. The business unit group is checked first, then the domain and finally the business unit. If the check is successful, the Business Unit Administration form is displayed.
  4. If the integrity check has failed, select View Errors to see the results.
